Villa Kigali was never intended to be a commercial space. It began as a home.
Built between 2014 and 2015, the villa was designed as a private residence for its owner and his family, shaped by a vision of comfort, calm, and intentional living. For five years, it remained a place of gathering, hosting friends and loved ones in a natural culture of hospitality.
A Natural Transition
During the COVID period, something began to shift.
As travel slowed, friends spent more time at the villa, some staying longer, others returning often. What was once a private home began to open naturally, not as a business, but as an experience.
In 2021, Villa Kigali became fully commercial and licensed, marking its transition into a hospitality destination.

A fine dining experience was launched, welcoming guests to enjoy curated cuisine and elevated service within the villa setting.

Villa Kigali began its journey toward becoming fossil fuel free while working toward HACCP certification, reinforcing its commitment to quality and sustainability.
